4. Fair Processing Notice
All schools are 'data controllers' under the Data Protection Act 1989.
To meet the requiremnets of the DPA, schools must issue Fair Processing Notices to pupils/parents summarising the information held about pupils, why it is held and the third parties to whom it may be passed on.
