Top Tips for Supporting Writing at Home
Homework in Year 6
Homework in Year 6 helps to prepare you for the homework that you will receive at secondary school. Please make sure that you complete and return all homework on time throughout the year. There will be rewards for those that do.
In Year 6 you will be given your own homework diary to write down the homework that you have been given for the week. Each Monday we set the week’s homework. We give you a whole week to complete it and we expect it to be handed in on the day that has been set in your diaries.
Reading is part of your weekly homework. We ask that you read to an adult at home at least three times a week and record this in the reading record books that you will be given.
